The holiday season is upon us once again, and it’s time for us to launch our annual Christmas Ag Angels program.  I can’t believe what this program has turned into.  What an overwhelming response I've had.  I never imagined that when I personally donated to a local school 16 years ago, it would turn into the successful program it is today, raising over $835,000.00!

The true success of this program is because of people like you.  People who found it in their hearts to help less fortunate children during Christmas. Will you join us to make an even bigger difference?

 

Last year we were able to raise an astounding $155,000!  Funds raised provided a Christmas and needs for hundreds of children in all Highlands & Hardee County Public Schools, Highlands & Hardee County Guardian Ad Litem programs, Big Brothers Big Sisters, Heartland Christian Academy, Lakeview Christian School, Redlands Christian Migrant Association (RCMA) and East Coast Migrant Head Start. 

 

Something new and exciting! We created a Trade School Scholarship program valued up to $7,500 each.  Scholarships were awarded to one graduating senior in each of the high schools across Highlands and Hardee counties. These scholarships will help four students earn a certificate/degree that will help them move into the workforce as skilled employees upon completion of their program.

As always, 100% of the funds collected will be used to purchase Christmas gifts by the teachers and staff (our Elves) and also be used to meet critical needs throughout the school year.  No funds will be used to give gift cards or cash to the students or parents.  This will ensure the funds are not used for unintended purposes.  My goal has always been and will continue to be, providing the joy and excitement of waking up Christmas morning, and having a special gift(s) to open for as many less fortunate children as we can.

In closing, I ask for you to make your donation now, while fresh in your mind.  Time is of the essence, we need to know how much

money we have to work with, so that we may distribute the proceeds by December 10th.  This gives teachers and staff

time to select and shop for the children before they go on Christmas break.
